  • Highest Quality Cashmere Yarn From Inner Mongolia

Established in 1998, Moksha Baby is a family business, deeply-rooted in local tradition. We are in fact, one of the oldest cashmere companies in Nepal. Situated in Kirtipur, we are part of the Newari community. Newars, being the original inhabitants of the Kathmandu Valley, Nepal, were, and still are, skilled and creative craftsmen. Within this rich tradition, the patterns we use in our products are artistic. The majority of our workforce are women, and we support working mothers and work with each individual employee to ensure work-life balance. At Moksha Baby we consider all of our staff to be part of our family. We are humbled that we can continue this traditional way of knitting clothing, while encouraging innovative and new designs and ideas, all while supporting our local community. We encourage and provide an open communication platform for designers and knitters and value their input. We also continue to offer a platform for talented designers to collaborate with us.
Mongolian Cashmere from the Himalayas

Finest raw materials

We source our Cashmere yarns from trusted suppliers so we can guarantee exceptional quality, from start to finish. We use a carefully chosen range of chemical-free dyes (e.g. Sandoz and Ciba) and because our fibers come to our base in Nepal from Mongolia, we minimize our carbon footprint. You can be sure that the environmental impact of your purchase is minimal – something you can pass on to your customers along with an assurance of excellence.

Our Ethos

We are committed to quality at every stage

We are committed to quality at every stage. We keep our impact on the environment to a minimum, we provide a healthy and safe working environment for all our staff, we value good relationships with our customers, and we do everything we can to keep our prices competitive without compromising on quality. We believe this shows in the service we offer, and the customers who come back to us, year after year.

Why Moksha
Baby And Kids?

The vast majority of cashmere or pashmina exported from Nepal are made using synthetic viscous which is known to be harmful to the skin and can lead to serious skin complications. These so-called “pashmina” or cashmere contain none of the cashmere wool but a cheap soft chemically dyed synthetic plastic material which is dangerous to you and your surroundings. Just because it's soft to touch or gives an un-natural sensation of warmth, doesn't mean it's made of cashmere wool.

New studies show that alarming numbers of tiny fibers from synthetic fabrics are making their way from your washing machine into aquatic animals (How your clothes are poisoning our oceans and food supply): Click Here To Read
