Washing Instructions – 100% Cashmere
We recommend either hand-wash, cold-wash or dry clean so it does not disturb or damage any of the knitted patterns on the clothing. Do not tumble dry as this would likely cause damage as cashmere is a very sensitive fabric.
For Hand Washing
- Using a cashmere detergent, soak the item in lukewarm water.
- Do not wring as this will likely cause stretching or damage. Rinse the clothing in clean lukewarm water.
- After, soaking and cleaning, remove access water by gently squeezing.
- Squeeze the item of excess water gently or put it in the washing machine on the lightest spin.
- Once the item is dry, steam-iron on a cool setting.
For Washing Machine
- Put it on a cold wool wash cycle with a very low spin.
- We recommend using cashmere detergents only.
- For our accessories its best to just hand-wash or dry clean. Body-wear such as sweaters, cardigans can be cold washed but again, it has to be done in a low spin cycle with all the buttons undone and with a cashmere detergent.
- Do not tumble dry or use a drying cycle in the washing machine. Lay your cashmere item flat in their natural shape to air dry, away from direct sunlight
Cashmere pilling:
After the garment has been worn multiple times, you might find tiny balls of fluff forming on them. These fluffs are naturally formed from friction during wear. To help stop pilling make sure your garment is regularly dry-cleaned or cold-washed. However, pilling is inevitable so another way to deal with it would be to buy a Cashmere Comb and firmly de-pill. This is a relatively easy and efficient process. By removing the pills using a cashmere comb, the garment in long term will consolidate and soften. Cashmere improves with age if cared for properly, and will last for years.
